What happens when I come for a treatment?

Before treatment begins I will need to go through a consultation form with you to discuss lifestyle and health issues.  This should only take approximately 15 minutes.

 What if I am taking medication?

There a few medical conditions that are contraindicated when having complementary therapies and it may be necessary to get your doctors permission before we can proceed with treatments.  Please notify me of any medication you are taking when booking the appointment.

Reflexology treatments are not usually carried out during the first three months of pregnancy.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments needed will differ according to your requirements and what you are hoping to achieve. A treatment plan will be discussed with you during your first session, 4 - 6 weekly reflexology treatments are usually recommended to begin with.  If you are having any of the treatments for relaxation only you may want to come for a treatment every month or as often as you like.

 What should I expect after the treatment?

Reactions after treatment will differ from client to client, some people will feel tired and some may feel energised.  You will probably feel relaxed and often people report that they have slept better afterwards.  It is advisable to drink water to help the healing process and ideally rest after treatment.

Some people may experience the following reactions in the 24 hours after treatment - increased bowel activity or urine output, headaches, existing symptoms worsening slightly or feeling emotional/weepy.  If these symptoms persist for longer than a day or two or if you have any other symptoms, please consult your doctor as there may be another underlying cause for them.

Opening Hours

Treatments are available Mon - Fri  9.30am to 2.30pm (last appointment 1.30 pm) and Saturday mornings.  The time slots do differ from week to week and evening appointments are possible if you work during the week so please call to check availability and I will do my best to find a time suitable for you.

Cancellation Policy

Please allow 24 hours notice when cancelling a booking or a charge may be incurred.
