Reflexology is an ancient therapy which has its roots in early Indian, Chinese and Egyptian cultures.
Rediscovered in the West in the early 20th century, the therapy has gained popularity as a way of combating stress in our hectic lifestyles.
During treatment the therapist applies a pressure technique to reflexes on the feet and/or hands. Facial Reflexology may also be used during the treatment if appropriate.
Reflexology is a gentle non-invasive therapy which is suitable for all age groups from babies to the elderly. It is a very relaxing treatment and may help to release tension and stress in the body, promoting a feeling of well being.

"I have had many reflexology treatments with Sarah and find them very theraputic. Sarah has been able to pinpoint and help relieve tension in my shoulders through the treatments, as well as other stress points. The sessions are deeply relaxing and give a more restful sleep too. I would definitely recommend them." Tara
Reflexology, like many complementary therapies, works very much on an individual basis. However there have been many case studies which suggest reflexology may help with the following conditions:
Back/joint pain
Headaches
Fertility issues
Stress related disorders eg insomnia
Hormonal imbalances
Treatments last between 45 - 60 minutes. Please allow longer for your first treatment as a case history will need to be taken.
