The candles are named after the native American Hopi Indians who favoured this treatment. The treatment is also sometimes referred to as Thermal Auricular Therapy.

The candles are actually a hollow tube made of cotton.  The other ingredients used in making the candles are beeswax, honey, chamomile, sage, St John's Wort and beta-carotene.  Only BIOSUN candles are used which meet EU safety regulations.

The candle is lit and the unlit end is placed in the client's ear.  It takes approximately 10 minutes for the candle to burn down to the required level.

A face and scalp massage is done at the end of the treatment in order to enhance the effects of the ear candling and provide additional relaxation.

Please note the treatment is not suitable if you have a current ear infection, perforated eardrum, or grommets fitted.

Allow up to an hour for your first treatment.
